High performing organizations have strong cultures, and Erie County should be no different. Culture is the shared set of beliefs, attitudes and values that influence how people in an organization behave. Chris Collins’ administration is looking to empower county employees by providing better training, better information circulation and more opportunities to enhance how we manage county operations as a business.

A transition team is training employees
to change the culture of Erie County
government. Employees will be eligible for
recognition awards through the Culture
Change program.
Posters articulating the administration's
vision and mission for Erie County are now
hanging on every floor of the Rath building.
The posters reinforce the vision that Erie
County will be a world class community where
people want to live, businesses want to locate
and tourists want to visit. The mission asserts that the County will assure that taxpayers receive value and the community achieves our long term vision. The goal is to provide County services with long- term performance excellence.
