Lean Six Sigma is a proven business methodology to increase efficiency and eliminate waste. Chris Collins is the first County Executive in the nation to implement Lean Six Sigma in a large government setting. It’s already exceeding expectations and has saved taxpayers millions of dollars. Bill Carey, a Lean Six Sigma black belt, is the Director of the County program.
To date, Erie County has trained 19 employees who've earned their Green Belts, 40 employees have earned Yellow Belts, and more than 250 employees have been trained in a Lean Six Sigma overview.
